Summer in the caribbean is not quite like I imagined. It rains everyday (torrential downpours nonetheless), its windy, foggy and humid. So much for sunshine and getting a tan. But I have to say that some mornings are actually nice; the fog and clouds come very low and cover the mountain completely!
At least this weather is conducive to studying, right?
back to the books.
it seems that the weather is conducive of studying...so there should be no complaints...lol

I know what you mean! For me, the sunshine energizes me to study. The clouds tell me - go back to sleep! haha
ReplyDeletewhat is the course load for 2nd term
ReplyDeletepeter
have been following your blog....
ReplyDeletecouple of questions.... what courses are in your second term and does starting your courseload in the winter term affect the timing of your USMLE test?
Thanx, Peter from Canada
@ Peter: second semester is biochemistry, genetics, epidemiology and physiology. Much heavier than 1st, but I guess you figure out how to cope with it! In terms of which start date is best I am not too sure how to answer that one. The USMLE step 1 needs to be taken within a year of graduating from the basic sciences program (ie finishing all 5 semesters on the island). The only thing that may play into the timing is the clinical placements and when they are chosen. However I am not too sure myself. I figured I would worry about it when I get there. Sorry, try sending an email to administration if you would like a more direct answer! thanks for following :)
